When is the best time to visit the Grand Canyon?
There’s no definitive answer as to which is the best season to visit. It depends what you are looking for. If you want to do an adventure, like a long hike or rafting, then the winter is too cold. Summer on the South Rim can be very crowded and and uncomfortably hot, especially for hikers. If you decide to do one of the popular helicopter tours, its good all year round. Then you will only be in the inner canyon and not at the colder, higher altitudes.

Travelers stories from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon tours!

It was finally time for a real adventure. At 10:30 there was a limo to pick us up outside the hotel in Las Vegas. It drove us out to the airport where a helicopter was waiting for us. What a fabulous experience when the helicopter lifted off the ground and drove a few meters up in the air and forward. It was a completely different feeling compared to an airplane. In the helicopter, we had headphones and a “walkie talkie” microphone so we could communicate with each other. During the Grand Canyon tour we also got to hear a recorded tour of the areas we saw below us.
Suddenly there came a great curtain of mountains, the Grand Canyon! The pilot increased in height and when we passed the giant rim, we had the Grand Canyon below us. What a miracle! It was the most incredible nature I had ever seen. The pilot made an interesting turn and I got to feel what it’s like to be part of a scene on a summer action movie. Once we were down in the Grand Canyon, we had a picnic in a party tent that they had there. T only shadow we could found was in the tent, 105 degrees fahrenheit hot! Then we went back into the helicopter for more sightseeing and back to Las Vegas where the limo was waiting to take us home to our hotel in Las Vegas.

Today was the best day so far, it was finally time for a the helicopter tour from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. Included in the price was that they will pick us up by limo at the hoteland drive us to the airport. 11:30 were we all ready. Both me and Anna were really nervous and was almost going to back out….. luckily we did not. What an experience it was! We all was in the same helicopter and had a super nice pilot. We flew up slowly and carefully, and began with a tour of the Las Vegas Strip then we flew out in the Nevada desert, over Lake Med, Hoover Dam, Colorado River and in over the Grand Canyon. It was absolutely incredibly beautiful. The pilot explained that there are rarely snow in Grand Canyon, but we experienced it. The day was a sunny but cold day. The flight took 90 minutes both ways. Back at the airport was the limo waiting to drive us back to our hotel, Paris Las Vegas. The limo today were larger and cooler than the one we got yesterday, when we decide to go by limo between two hotels in Las Vegas.

Now we have just returned back to Las Vegas after an incredible experience, we took a helicopter tour from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon. We had a 45 minute flight before we landed down in the Grand Canyon. Something more impressive is hard to imagine, and we felt very small when the man stood by the river. We were invited to a picnic with champagne and obviously, we drank most, you’re not supposed to leave anything in the Grand Canyon :-). We also flew over the Hoover Dam. If you ever will come to Las Vegas, do not miss this helicopter tour!
